5 DAYS CHIMPANZEE TRACKING TOUR TO SEMULIKI AND QUEEN
ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Day 1: Transfer to Semuliki National park
Have
breakfast in the morning and drive to Semliki wildlife
Reserve. The drive takes you down the eastern side of
Lake Albert. It is situated in the basin of the western
Rift valley; this is one of the parks with many habitats
ranging from Riparian forests, rain forests to short and
high grass savannah. It is also known for its night game
drive that rewards you with nocturnal dwellers like the
white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and
pennant winged nightjars, cats, hyenas, leopards and many
more. This is the only place in Uganda where you can do
a spot lit night drive. The park generally offers lots
of surprises because you never know what you might find.

Day 2 : Chimpanzee Tracking from Semuliki NP
Have
breakfast and go down into the lovely gallery rainforest
to track chimpanzees. They are usually tracked at dawn
or dusk because these apes tend to disappear in the middle
of the day. There are also a number of bird species which
are found in this picturesque forest. Then return from
the chimp tracking and in the afternoon you may relax
at the pool or go for a game drive as you watch the sun
dip.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth and the Mweya Peninsula
You
will have a game drive enroute as you leave Semliki National
park. The journey takes you through the attractive green
countryside eventually ascending the Western Rift Valley
to Fort Portal. You will then proceed to Queen Elizabeth
National Park reach in the late afternoon. You will go
for a nature walk around the Mweya Peninsula, where you
will see animals like the Uganda Kob, bush pigs, bush
bucks, colobus monkeys and many more. Dinner and overnight
at Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 4: Chimp Tracking from the Kyambura Gorge
Have
breakfast in the morning and go for a forest walk in the
Kyambura gorge in search for chimpanzees and other primates.
Alternatively you may go for a walk in the Maramagambo
forest in search for primates. You will then return from
the walk for lunch at the lodge and then go for a launch
cruise in the afternoon. This boat trip will reward you
with game like hippos, buffaloes and many waterbirds.

Ecology (Full Board)
Day 5: Kasenyi Track and the Return journey to
Kampala
You
will go for a game drive early morning before dawn in
the Kasenyi track of the park to catch up with the early
risers and predators returning to their hide outs. Return
from the game drive for late break fast then drive back
to Kampala with packed lunch. You will reach in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana / Serena Hotel.
